An Interview with Lanie Lacey Fleischer

During Friends’ Weekend 2012, Lanie sat down with Advancement Director Jeff Woods to talk about her memories of Treetops.

A niece of Helen Haskell, Lanie spent time here as a camper and a counselor during the 1950s and early ’60s. After Treetops, Lanie moved with husband Hugh Fleischer to Anchorage, where they raised their children and together built a life dedicated to community: Lanie as director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and advocate for public trails and recreation opportunities, and Hugh as a civil rights attorney.
