Camp Treetops is a screen-free, traditional, and inclusive summer camp located in the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York — a region known for exceptional outdoor recreation, including hiking, paddling, and rock climbing. On our working farm and in our garden, campers work alongside our farmers to care for animals and tend crops, experiencing the true meaning of farm-to-fork living.

At Camp Treetops, we focus on community, creativity, and outdoor adventure. Campers live simply, set technology aside, and form meaningful, lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

A visit gives families a firsthand look at camp life — including our tents and cabins, gardens, stables, and waterfront — and the opportunity to meet members of our staff. Seeing camp in action is one of the best ways to experience the values, daily rhythms, and sense of community that shape each child’s summer at Camp Treetops.

All campers participate in daily swim lessons, and most enjoy weekly horseback riding lessons. Campers also choose from a wide range of activities, including hiking, sailing, ceramics, weaving, woodshop, nature-inspired art projects, performing arts, music, and farm and garden work. Camp Treetops also offers multiple day and overnight trips each week, giving campers frequent opportunities to explore the Adirondack wilderness and learn about the region’s rich natural and cultural history.

Camp Treetops is intentionally screen-free, encouraging campers to fully engage in community life. Families and campers primarily stay in touch through letters, which campers write each Sunday. Each Friday, families receive a Weekly Camp Journal by email, including photos and updates from the week.

In the event of an emergency or urgent need, families can always contact the camp directly, and campers will be made available as needed. Our staff is committed to ensuring clear and timely communication in all important situations.

Yes. Families are welcome to attend Visitors’ Weekend, with visits typically taking place from 9:15 AM to 5:00 PM. Detailed information and registration materials are shared with families early in the summer.

While Camp Treetops does not offer virtual tours, families are encouraged to schedule a conversation with our Camp Director to ask questions and learn more about daily life, traditions, and camper experiences.
