Ashley Waldorf
Director of School
Ashley Waldorf became North Country School’s new director of school in July 2024. She is well suited to take on this role—her past leadership experiences include six years at The Island School in the Bahamas as school director and director of curriculum, and more recently she was a founding faculty member at the Mastery School of Hawken in Cleveland. While at Hawken, Ashley also earned her Ed.D. from Vanderbilt University’s Doctorate of Education program, where she researched the application of competency-based education in public schools. Ashley, her husband, Alex, and their adopted Portuguese Water Dog, Luna, recently welcomed their newest addition, River Whitley Cook-Waldorf, in April 2024.
